Co-Creating Stories That Connect
With over two decades of experience, we know what it takes to craft video content that not only looks great, but truly connects. Every project begins by asking the same essential question: who’s watching? Understanding your audience shapes everything we do, from creative concepts to platform strategy.
Some clients come to us with a clear vision. Others seek guidance to bring ideas into focus. Either way, we lean into the collaborative process, shaping stories through audience insight, purposeful messaging, and smart production planning.
From that first spark of an idea to final delivery, we guide every step of the journey. Because when strategy and creativity align, content becomes more than a deliverable, it becomes a tool for connection.
What Our Clients Often Ask
-
Absolutely.
According to Wyzowl’s 2023 report, 91% of businesses use video as a marketing tool, and 96% of marketers consider it a vital part of their strategy, an all-time high. Why? Because video doesn’t just inform, it connects.
Video captures attention faster than text or static images, making it one of the most effective ways to communicate your message and build trust with your audience.
Why it matters:
Brand Awareness: High-quality video leaves a lasting impression and elevates your brand’s identity.
Education & Training: Whether it’s onboarding staff or explaining a product, video simplifies complex ideas.
Marketing & Sales: From boosting SEO to increasing conversions, video drives measurable results.
And with platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn prioritising video content, it’s no longer optional, it’s essential for visibility and engagement.

Yes. We’re often brought in right at the start to help shape the creative vision. Whether you have a fully formed idea or just a rough sense of what you want to achieve, we’ll work with you to develop a concept that aligns with your goals, audience, and brand voice.
Through discovery sessions, research, and storyboarding, we explore the best ways to tell your story, whether it’s cinematic, documentary-style, social-first, or something completely unique.
We’ll help clarify your message, identify standout visuals, and plan a format that delivers impact across your chosen platforms. Creative development is part of our process, it’s where strategy meets storytelling.
-
Our process is designed to be collaborative, efficient, and creatively rewarding, from the first idea to the final frame. Here’s how it typically unfolds:
1. Conception
We begin by aligning on purpose, message, and audience. Whether you have a clear vision or need help developing one, we shape the strategy together, defining goals, tone, and budget from the start.
2. Pre-Production
With the concept locked, we move into logistics. This includes scripting, storyboarding, scheduling, and assembling the right crew, locations, and talent to bring your project to life.
3. Production
Lights, camera, action. Our team captures all the footage according to plan, whether that’s interviews, event coverage, VR capture, or dynamic B-roll. We adapt to real-world conditions while maintaining quality and intent.
4. Post-Production
This is where the story takes shape. We edit, add motion graphics, design sound, and colour grade until your message is polished and platform ready. You’ll receive review drafts with room for feedback and refinement.
5. Delivery
Once approved, we export and deliver your video in the right formats and specs for any platform, whether it's web, social, internal comms, theatrical, or broadcast.
-
Your level of involvement is completely up to you. Some clients prefer to be on set, overseeing shots, providing live feedback, or simply soaking up the creative atmosphere. Others are happy to let us take the lead and focus on the end result.
Before the shoot, we’ll walk you through the schedule, roles, and creative plan so you know exactly what’s happening and when. If your input is needed at key moments, like approving setups, conducting interviews, or guiding brand tone, we’ll flag it well in advance.
Whether you're deeply hands-on or more hands-off, we’ll adapt to your style. Our job is to make the production process feel smooth, collaborative, and entirely stress-free.
-
Costs can vary widely depending on the scope of the project. For context, recent UK data suggests that a 3-minute corporate video typically lands around £4,800, while brand stories or TV-style ads with motion graphics or multi-day shoots can range from £5,000 to £10,000+.
At Illuminated Pixel, we’ve delivered successful projects across a broad spectrum, from £2,000 to six-figure productions.
What determines the cost?
Length & complexity – From single-camera interviews to multi-location shoots with crew and talent
Crew size & specialist equipment – Including drones, lighting setups, VR rigs, and more
Post-production – Editing, colour grading, sound design, animation, motion graphics, and VFX
Timelines – Tight deadlines or last-minute edits may impact the overall cost
We collaborate closely with clients to align budget and creative goals, finding the right scale and format to deliver impact without compromise.
-
Crew size flexes depending on the scale, complexity, and ambition of your project.
For leaner productions, a two-person crew can deliver high-quality results with minimal footprint.
For most commercial shoots, we recommend a four- to five-person team, typically including a Producer/Director and camera, lighting, and grip specialists.
For tight spaces or simplified setups, a self-shooting videographer offers agility without compromising quality.
For larger-scale productions, we scale up accordingly, bringing in makeup artists, on-screen talent, drone pilots, Steadicam or jib operators, VFX supervisors, sound recordists, and more. When compromise isn’t an option, we build a crew to match the vision.
Every production is different, so we assemble the right team to deliver creative impact, technical precision, and logistical efficiency.
-
It really depends on your preference.
Some clients like to be involved every step of the way, others prefer to hand us the reins and trust us to deliver. We're comfortable with both approaches, and everything in between.
We’ll always begin with a discovery meeting to understand your goals, audience, and creative direction. From there, you can have as much input as you'd like, whether that’s helping to shape the script, reviewing creative treatments, or simply sharing your vision and letting us take it from there.
And if certain phases require your sign-off or collaboration, we’ll flag that early so the process stays smooth and transparent.
-
We tailor our equipment choices to each project’s needs and budget. Whether it’s a nimble mirrorless setup paired with gimbals and LED lighting for fast-paced content, or a high-spec RED or Arri setup with cinema glass for a premium campaign, we select tools that match the ambition.
We’ve worked extensively with gear from industry leaders like RED, Arri, Cooke, and Panavision, and we stay up to date with the latest advancements in camera, lighting, and sound tech.
When a project calls for it, whether that’s motion control, drone work, VR capture, or large-sensor cinema builds, we’ll bring in the right tools and the specialists to match. Because great results start with the right setup.
-
Yes, we offer retainer-based content packages designed to deliver consistent, high-quality video content over time. These are ideal for brands that want to maintain momentum across social media, campaigns, or internal communications.
Here’s what a typical retainer might include:
Monthly or quarterly planning sessions to align on goals, messaging, and content themes
Regular filming days—from short-form social content to interviews, promos, or event coverage
A set number of edited videos per month, tailored to your platforms and audience
Priority scheduling and faster turnaround times
Cost savings compared to booking one-off projects
We customise each package based on your needs—whether that’s two videos a month or a full content calendar with weekly deliverables. It’s a great way to build brand consistency, streamline production, and make budgeting easier.
-
Post-production timelines can vary based on the complexity of the project, the volume of footage, and the desired length of the final video.
That said, most of our edits are completed within one to three weeks, often faster for short-form content or social cut-downs.
If you’re working to a tight deadline, we’ll plan accordingly and can accelerate the process where needed. Clear communication and upfront scheduling help us keep everything on track without compromising quality.
-
Yes, we offer a structured revision process to ensure the final video meets your expectations. Typically, one to two rounds of revisions are included as part of the project scope, covering things like text changes, shot swaps, or pacing tweaks.
If you need additional changes beyond the agreed rounds, we’re happy to accommodate them. These are usually billed at an hourly or day rate, depending on the complexity and time required.
This approach aligns with industry norms:
Most production companies include limited revisions in the initial quote
Extra revisions are charged separately to account for time, resources, and scheduling
Clear communication during the review phase helps avoid scope creep and keeps timelines on track
We’ll always outline the revision process during pre-production so you know exactly what’s included, and we’ll guide you through feedback rounds to make it easy and efficient.
-
We deliver your video in formats that best suit your platform and purpose. By default, you’ll receive:
MP4 (H.264 or H.265) – Optimised for web, social media, and general digital distribution
ProRes or DNxHD – Available for high-quality archiving or broadcast needs
Multiple aspect ratios – Square, vertical, and widescreen edits for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and more
Subtitled files – Either with burned-in captions or as separate SRT files for accessibility and platform compliance
Need something bespoke? We tailor deliverables to your distribution goals, whether it’s platform-specific formatting, high-resolution exports, or alternate versions for different languages.
We share content via secure cloud-based links (like Frame.io, Dropbox, or OneDrive), and for larger assets or offline use, we’re happy to supply a physical drive on request.
-
Final edited videos are always included in your project delivery. If you’d like access to the raw, unedited footage, we’re happy to provide it, just let us know during planning so we can factor it into the scope and delivery process.
In the wider industry, raw footage is not typically included by default. That’s because:
It’s often recorded in log or flat colour profiles, requiring professional post-production to look its best
File sizes are large and may require specialist software or hardware to view or edit
Raw footage is sometimes considered part of the production company’s creative IP, especially in commercial or narrative work
That said, we believe in flexibility. If you’d like the raw files, for archiving, future edits, or internal use, we can deliver them via cloud transfer or physical drive, depending on size. We’ll also clarify what’s included (e.g. camera rushes, audio, slates) and how it’s organised.
Please note: Providing raw footage typically incurs an additional cost, which covers file preparation, transfer time, and extended storage requirements.
If you’re planning to repurpose footage later or want to keep an archive, just let us know. We’ll make sure it’s handled cleanly and professionally.
-
Yes. We can offer a range of accessibility and localisation services to help your content reach wider, more inclusive audiences.
Here’s what we can provide:
Subtitles & Captions We create both open (burned-in) and closed (toggleable) subtitles, depending on your platform and audience needs. Captions can include not just dialogue, but also non-verbal audio cues for viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Subtitle Translation We can translate subtitles into multiple languages—ideal for international campaigns or multilingual audiences. Translations are handled by trusted partners or native-speaking collaborators to ensure accuracy and tone.
SRT & VTT Files We supply subtitle files in standard formats (like SRT or VTT), ready for upload to platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, LinkedIn, and more.
Accessibility-First Formatting We follow best practices for readability, like proper line breaks, contrast, and timing, to ensure subtitles enhance rather than distract.
Optional Transcripts Full transcripts can be provided for internal documentation, SEO, or accessibility compliance.
Accessibility isn’t just a checkbox, it’s a way to make your message more inclusive, searchable, and impactful.
-
